Who we are

We are a group of professional women and girls who live in Vancouver BC. We came together to put our ideas and pull resources in order to promote and advocate for the well-being of African women and girls who are the visible minority in our community.
Our team includes Teachers, social workers, nurses, University and college students, counselors etc. We are committed to spending our own resources, available funding/donations, time, energy and talents to work and support these vulnerable members of our communities.

Vision

To create awareness through arts, music, literacy, conferences, workshops and training opportunities. This will enable African women and girls to utilize their skills and talents to improves themselves and their communities. They will use the opportunities available to have a successful and fulfilling life.

Purpose

• To bring African women and girls in Vancouver and internationally in a forum to discuss challenges affecting them in their communities

• To raise awareness and advocate to promote both local and international rights of women and girls.

• To raise funds for community projects.

• To act as a voice for the women and girls regarding their rights in our communities.

• To build partnership, networking and alliances with other communities in Canada and around the world.

• To organize events and conferences on gender-based rights that support for women and girls.

• To provide education for women and girls in collaboration with other Canadian charitable and non for- profit organizations that foster inclusion, diversity and gender-based violence.

We endeavor to achieve sustainable programs that will benefit the women & girls
