Why Women should be involved in Politics

1. Government and Politics impact nearly every aspect of our lives
   

   Government plays a huge role in our daily lives both directly and indirectly;

• Starting from the food you buy to the road you drive on.- if that be the case why not take time to understand the process and who makes the law.
• Having understanding can help individuals or you to determine the course of action for yourself and family regarding wide range of issues

An informed Voter

• Having Knowledge about politics and governance helps you to be an informed Voter.
• If you are a Voter- it is important for one to go to polls armed with facts – all level of governance.
  

  Politics is entertaining and can be quite fun

  • watching and making criticism and debates
  • earn extra income during elections
  • opportunities for networking and making new friend

  Follow up actions

  research why women were not allowed to vote – a century ago (1870- 1904- ongoing heated up debate)
  if you are interested in being involved – talk to your councillors, MLA and MP and find out how you can contribute to your community
